What exactly is Thieves Oyl?
As legend has it, during the days of the bubonic plague, a group of spice traders, who lost their livelihoods, took to robbing the victims without succumbing to illness themselves. They were eventually caught and granted "leniency" provided they disclose their secret. That secret was blend of herbs, spices and oils (clove, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus and rosemary) that they rubbed on their bodies and placed inside their masks. We now know today that these essential oils are highly antimicrobial.
Our version of thieves oyl is spicy and uplifting and sure to please those who prefer a beautifully aromatic scent.

This skin soother salve is 100% vegan and made with natural kokum butter. Crystallization may sometimes happen due to the nature of natural butters. We do not add chemicals or beeswax additives to prevent this. From the earliest of times there was the role of the healer. The herbalist. The "Wise Woman". She possessed knowledge of healing herbs and botanicals which was handed down from previous generations back. As a healer, the wise woman was usually the first stop for the average person when they were sick or had a health issue to address. Of course in the Medieval and Renaissance era, the wise woman may have been called a witch or a heretic and discouraged from practicing her art as women were not allowed a profession in that time. This of course would make any herbalist surly as hell!
It is up to us to cultivate our garden.
